Born in Alberta, I grew up with the prairie landscape and the ‘big sky’. Retiring after 34 years as a social worker, I picked up a paintbrush for the first time in January 2002 and fell in love with the painting process.

After two productive acrylic painting courses with Fran Alley at the community centre, I began to paint with oils and have been completely absorbed with them ever since.

In addition to studying with Fran Alley, I have taken classes with James Lindfeld, Lori Goldberg, Lisa Birke and Diana Kubicek at ECIAD; Phyllis Anderson, Suzy Birnstein, Sally Gregson, Thomas Anfield and Audrey Mabee in the community.
