Judy Fletcher

Growing up in Ontario, Judy discovered a passion for drawing the world around her. This ability to draw enabled her to increase her powers of observation. Working in the health care field for thirty years kept her very busy, leaving little time for anything other than observation. Then, six years ago, Judy discovered the joy of colour when she began using water media: paints, inks and water-soluble pencils.

Many of Judy’s detailed paintings are subjects that are easily overlooked. She has a soft spot for toys and advertisements from early in the 20th century. She expresses her ideas with clarity and precision, but with an underlying sense of humour.
