Lynda J. Henderson

Before ever painting, Lynda Henderson was honoured in a native naming ceremony and given the two spirit names: Whitefeather and Painted Horse Woman; and she was warned to be prepared for her life to change. Shortly thereafter she started to paint. Imagine having something in your life through which you could experience intense spirit, passion, joy, frustration, fun, sensuality and magic.

Her work, in acrylics, using bold, bright colours is in large and small sizes. "As nature is unlimited, so is my palette," she says. Lynda joined the Vancouver Art Guild in the fall of 2000. A trip to France and Spain in 2002 opened her eyes to a visual history of the great masters.

Summer of 2006 she displayed and sold her art in Stanley Park. In 2007 she became a part of Artists In Our Midst. Her unique art studio, a 20 foot yurt, is her pride and joy.
