ARTIST STATEMENT

My development as an artist has been a wonderful, lifelong journey of exploration and discovery. It is an intriguing challenge and fulfilling process to create art that expresses my sense of design and captures a harmony between color, form and space. Each of my works is an attempt to present to the viewer a unique visual experience: through still life, landscape and abstracts. My hope is that you will find beauty and balance in each piece.

BIO

Originally from California, Terry now lives in Vancouver, BC, Canada, where she is a member of the Vancouver Art Guild. Terry works in a wide variety of mediums and her works range from representational to abstract constructs.

Terry received her B.A. in Social Sciences and M.A. in Education from the University of California, Berkeley. She studied painting, drawing, graphic design at Santa Barbara City College, Santa Barbara, California. She also studied at Emily Carr College (now Institute) of Art and Design, Vancouver, and completed the Fine Arts program at Langara College, Vancouver. In addition, she has taken courses at the Vancouver Academy of Art and Malaspina Printmakers Society, Vancouver.
