GWYNNETH MORIARITY

I started taking drawing and painting classes as a retirement project, hoping to produce small, botanical paintings. Classes at in Langara Continuing Education program soon inspired me to try still life, portraiture and landscape subjects, painting in acrylics mainly, but experimenting with other media. Further classes at Community Centres lead to being an active member of the Vancouver Art Guild. I have participated in workshops and taken lessons with several artists, notably, Fran Alley and Cheryl Fortier.

The supportive, stimulating association with the Art Guild provides a constant incentive to widen ones horizons. Producing art works for our Annual November Salon provides a satisfying a goal to aspire to.
