After working in an office for many years, I finally had enough and in early 1999, I decided to take up painting and drawing after a friend showed me a book on drawing . As I always enjoyed drawing as a child I started taking pencil/pen drawing classes at a local community center, tried different mediums and different classes . I now concentrate on watercolor, sometimes discouraged and sometimes frustrated but most of the time I’m enjoying the enormous challenge of this medium.
Painting is a life-long learning process, a very enjoyable one at that and I enjoy interpreting different subjects that somehow touch the creative side of me. Fascinated by light and shadow, I try to capture them in many of my paintings, but my latest interest is local Vancouver scenery.
It is my hope to create paintings that are peaceful and soothing that will bring a quiet joy to the viewers.
