Irene Walsh

"There are never enough hours in the day to paint!". This is how Irene, who began working in watercolours but a few years ago, feels about her passion.

Born in Montreal, Irene moved to the lower mainland in 1977 and has been living in Vancouver since the early 1980s. During this time she worked in administration at Vancouver General Hospital before taking an early retirement.

In the summer of 2003, Irene decided to take a few classes in the art of watercolour. Her love of the beautiful gifts of nature quickly became apparent in her work. At the time she had no idea painting would turn into such an addiction that she can't imagine living without it: "I feel like I have found my niche in life and I hope this feeling lasts forever!"
