Winter Salon 2016
prev / next
All members of the Vancouver Art Guild are proud of the annual winter exhibition, and 2016 was no exception. More than 800 people came, more than 500 paintings were displayed during the day, and many happy people went home with purchases. We anticipate that our 17th Exhibition on November 5th, 2017 will be just as much fun for everyone.
We show paintings in all styles from realistic to abstract; on all subjects from landscape to portraits and still life; in many media including pencil, pen and ink, pastel, watercolour, acrylic, oil, collage and mixed media; in many sizes from small to vast; and in a huge range of prices. We also have cards, calendars and jewelry on display and for sale. You take your purchase home with you immediately; no waiting to enjoy your treasure. And the blank space on the wall is immediately filled with another work making the show very dynamic.
The first Salon took place in a private home in 2000. It was so well attended that the following year it moved to its current location, upstairs in several rooms of the Jericho Hill Centre on West 4th. That is where you will still find us every year on the first Sunday of November from 11 - 5.
Everyone is welcome; refreshments are served and there is an art table for small children.
Admission is free. Parking is free. We are on the #4 Bus Route.
